Ok, so troubleshooting the gauges on Project 1985 Corvette is just as much of a nightmare as is restoring the Tuned Port Injection system.
My issue is the gauge cluster, which has the internals of a TI-83 calculator
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
This cluster is why I drink cheap bourbon

But when you get it fixed, goddam you’ll be living like a star

Yes, I will be driving a beater C4 to keep mileage off my CTS-V, she is my weekend whore

I'm most definitely saving this video for when my cluster inevitably goes bad one day.

Daily-ing your coupe to save your sedan? Has the world gone mad?!

The C4 handles like a 2800 lb go kart, and the CTS handles like a big sedan...Love the mileage of the C4’s 2.73 rear gears also

I’ve long wanted a Corvette but I’ve become resigned to the fact that buying one new likely won’t be in the cards for me for a long, long time (a divorce might be needed as well... haha).
So I thought to myself today, I thought, “Self, what if you just got a beater C4 and fixed it up?”
That’s probably a bad idea.

The C4 is the most comfortable and capable beater you will find. I paid $2200 for this car, and it gets over 22 mpg on 87 octane. It has go-kart grip in the corners and in the rain...do it
